  Any agnostics/atheists ever give the prayer at the K Hall?

  Has an organized mass exodus of faders and wannafaders ever been proposed or discussed here? I'm fairly new so forgive me if it has...the search feature isn't the greatest, btw.

  The steady trickling away of "qualified brothers" is one thing, but how might it hit the borg if hundreds or thousands of MS/elders left en masse? It seems as if there are dozens of us here already in mid-fade.

  By the way, I'm agnostic. I still can't believe in a universe (or anything within it) without a cause, and the organization of the world reeks of intelligence. So I'm thinking there's probably something somewhere with consciousness who got things started. Beyond that, I don't know. And I still give prayers regularly at the meetings. I pray to "Our Father" as instructed by Jesus.

  My guess is a majority of JWs would be willing to speak with a DFd person if they knew they wouldn't get caught.

  I just got a Lasko radiant heater from one of those big home improvement stores for $39 a few weeks ago. Works great heating one big room.

  ? about Satan and Heaven

  i have been thinking lately about how the jw's believe that satan was kicked out of heaven in 1914 after the war in heaven.. first of all, why did it take so long for jehovah to finally decide to kick him out of heaven from the time that he decieved and turned his back on jehovah in genesis?

  why was satan allowed to have access to heaven in the between time up until 1914?.

  also, if revelation is supposed to be a future event, why do the jw's use that event as "already occurred"?.

  Just in case someone has missed the logical conclusion of PSac's post, Satan wasn't kicked out of heaven in 1914. It was long before that, before Jesus came to earth, apparently, since he spoke of the event in past tense.

  mary christmas - article in the awake i think it was 1969 or1968 there is a picture of two passenger jets flying into the world trade center buildings, now, what do you think of that.

  now, that was some thirty years in advance, and a little more than coincidence.

  How did they know if someone was Circumcised?

  so as not to hijack the current "paul" thread, i'll comment here.

  paul spoke about circumcision numerous times and even circumcised timothy.. not to make light of the topic, but i have always wondered, how did anyone know if someone else was circumcised???

  i have been a jw my entire life and will honestly tell you that i don't know which brothers are circumcised and which are not.. i mean, did guys back then watch each other at the urinals or peek in the windows when someone was getting dressed?

  a friend told me about an incident that had happened in a neighbouring congregation.

  she told me that a sister from the congregation needed to get back to work after a meeting but discovered that she was boxed in.

  without you, the small world of ex jws would be a darker place.. you post new findings, inside information, extensive research, found documents, provide commentaries, translations, deep theology, differing beliefs, questions, answers, humour, tragedy, your own life experiences and encouragement.. some of you have already become familiar to me, and i look forward to the things you say.

  i look forward to yet meeting other caring selfless people.. 3 weeks ago i was still a wt apologist.

  If your kids are old enough and they like being with you, they should be able to debunk any of your ex wife's lies. If they're still little, then you probably don't want them dragged into it.

  They all carried an official certificate of circumcision to "whip out" whenever they needed proof.

  Gaiman's short story "A Study in Emerald" and the classic rock tune by Jethro Tull, "Jack in the Green." Great stuff both.
